Terms of Service
Effective 17 July 2026.
These terms govern your use of Time Off ("the Service"), operated by Actually Useful Extensions. By installing or using the Service, you agree to them. If you're installing on behalf of a company, you confirm you're authorised to accept these terms for it.
What the Service does
Time Off helps teams request, approve, and track paid time off inside Slack.
Your responsibilities
- Configure your leave policies correctly. You know your obligations; we don't.
- Keep your Slack workspace secure — anyone with admin rights there can change app settings.
- Don't misuse the Service: no reverse engineering, no reselling it as your own, no attempting to access other customers' data, no using it to break the law.
Not a system of record
Please read this one. Time Off is a convenience tool, not an authoritative HR or payroll record. While we work hard to calculate working days, holidays, accruals, and carryover correctly, you are responsible for your own compliance with employment law and for verifying balances before relying on them for payroll or statutory purposes. Public-holiday calendars are provided on a best-effort basis and may be incomplete or out of date.
Availability
We aim to keep the Service running but do not promise any particular uptime. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we plan to discontinue the Service entirely, we'll give workspace admins reasonable notice and a way to export data.
Pricing
The Service is currently free while in early access. If we introduce charges, we'll give you notice beforehand and you may stop using the Service rather than pay.
Your data
Your data stays yours. Our handling of it is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Cancellation
Uninstall the app from your Slack workspace at any time. Contact us to have your data deleted (see the Privacy Policy).
Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Actually Useful Extensions is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified to workspace admins in Slack. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
